The Pimax 5K and 8K are 2 of the newer generation VR goggles.They are high end VR headsets and expensive. But you also get something quite special.

The 5K plus is the cheapest option, priced at $699. Next is the 5K XR with a $899 price tag. 100 dollars more expensive is the Vision 8K Plus. And if you really want to empty your pockets then they offer the Vision 8K X at $1299!
Both the 5K versions have a 2560*1440*2 resolution, as mentioned above. This means the suggested video card to make sure your VR porn runs great is no less than a GTX 1070.
The 8K versions have a 3840*2160*2 resolution and require a RTX 2060 or better.

One thing to note though is that while the 8K Pimax headset doesn't really offer a visible better resolution, it does however lower the SDE.
SDE stands for screen door effect. Which is basically the space between the pixels. A cheap VR headset will clearly show the individual pixels, like watching through a screen door.
The 5K Pimax will still very slightly let you experience this and the 8K Pimax almost completely removes the SDE. If this is worth several 100's extra if up to you.
Keep in mind this is a list of the prices for just the Pimax VR headset. No controllers included!
There are several options when looking to control the Pimax.
In 2019 they showed the world the 2 different sets they are working on . The “Sword” and the “Sword Sense”.
They really listened to their (potential) buyers when designing these controllers. And the result certainly is awesome. As I'm writing this these Sword controllers should be almost ready for shipping (Feb 2020).

For tracking the Pimax uses lighthouses also know as the HTC Vive Base Station. So you put one of these on both side of the room and they will track where ever you move between those 2 spots. Just like the HTC vive VR headset, this allows for moving while gaming/playing or watching VR porn in case you feel the need to haha 😉
