Obviously it's a gaming computer and the VR part is a (very) nice extra. But in case you do own one and want to dive into the VR part of it we'll take a look at what you can expect!
But first let's see what the PS5 itself is all about.
The specs of the PS5 are amazing. At least when you consider the low price point.
The basic version costs 399 dollars and the upgraded version, which includes a Ultra HD Blu-Ray Disc Drive will be exactly 100 dollars more.
With a AMD Zen 2-based CPU with 8 cores at 3.5GHz, 16 gigs ram and a beefy AMD Radeon RDNA 2 based graphics engine, we're looking at a mean machine.
A mean machine which will be perfect for the newest generation of VR porn movies!
It can play video games at 4k with 120 frames per seconds. Which sounds very promising in regards to the newest PS5 VR headset!
Storage wise the PS5 includes a 825GB SSD and you will have access to a SSD expansion slot.
So when it comes to storing your VR porn stash you will be fine for quite a while.
And when your VR Bangers and VirtualRealPorn collection gets too big (which will happen because their movie collection is amazing) you can of course also use a external hard drive! So no worries there!

And if you already own a VR headset for the PS4 you'll be glad to know the PlayStation 5 has backwards compatibility. It will work with the newest PlayStation however you're most likely going to miss out on some new features.

But it might not be for everyone of course.
When you buy the PS5 you will get the necessary cables like HDMI and USB and a Dual Sense Controller: the newest generation PlayStation controllers.
Of course you'll soon be buying a 2nd controller, which enhances the fun!
Another cool gadget you need to buy separately is the PS5 HD camera. It has some nice options to capture your best in game moments. And you might want to turn it off when you're having your best VR porn moments hehe.
What do we know so far? Based on rumors and some leaks we can say the following:
The headset will have an OLED screen with a resolution of 4000×2040 pixels, or 2000×2040 pixels each eye, among other features. The headset will obviously support high-definition video. Which will be awesome for gaming and movies. Especially now that more and more VR studios are bringing out 8K VR porn movies! Which is an amazing experience on the right VR glasses!

The lenses will have a field of view of 110 degrees, compared to the existing PSVR headset's range of view of 100 degrees. So that's a slight improvement.
It's a very decent FOV but as we're seeing new headsets appear with a bigger FOV it might feel slightly outdated by next year.
Eye tracking and foveated rendering would also be supported by the headgear.
The latter is a rendering technology that employs eye tracking to determine what users are looking at and then uses that information to degrade image quality in the users' peripheral vision. Because the computational load is reduced, this should result in greater performance.
Sony also mentions support for adjustable scaling resolution to improve performance even more.
This great new feature will most likely be very useful for gaming. I don't think it would be needed for your average VR porn movie. But it's certainly nice to have and we have to wonder if an adult VR studio can come up with something that could make use of this technology!
Sony is also believed to have revealed that the controllers for its future PS5 VR headset will include touch sensors for the thumb, index finger, and middle finger of users.
This will allow the controller to track, among other things, whether users are holding the controller.
Again, this tech would be be of could use with certain VR sex apps! Maybe the guys who created the awesome game Dezyred can come up with something! Finger movements and naked girls…yeah, there must be something to come up with!
Sony said they want upcoming PS5 titles to support virtual reality.
So think of titles like No Man's Sky, Hitman 3, Resident Evil 7, and having optional PSVR support.
Users would also have the option of downloading either a VR or a standard version of a game.
Sony has not yet verified whether the future headset is backwards compatible with current PSVR titles during the conference, but the company will be working on remasters of some games.
A single wire will be used for the headset.

Just for gaming, the PS5 is awesome. But the console is, at this moment in time, very hard hard to get and very expensive. Hopefully as we're going into 2022, things will get better.
If the rumors are true then we can expect the VR part of the PS5 at the end of 2022 and we can't wait to try it out! As I said in the intro, you most likely won't be buying a PS5 just to watch VR porn. But if you already own one or plan on buying one then getting the PSVR when it's available will be a no-brainer!
